August nights, august days

Fine week. School is getting boring, thank goodness it ends this week. Lectures have been reduced to doing and going through papers ( sleeping ), and tutorials well somewhat like a group consultation slot. It is getting pointless, lame and totally draggy. No offence to the teachers though, they are a great bunch of people. Mr pun unleashed his classic quick witted *artillery barrage* retort on that poor photographer when we re took our class pictures, pity that guy. Exams are within touching distance now, and i feel so unprepared and vulnerable. Starting my studies soon (tomorrow?) Wish me luck.

Played touch rugby on thurday with the class. Participated in inter house. This is like the 'real' version not the modified one we played during the sports carnival. Although we went out in the 1st round, we had a great time, despite some initial misgivings. Lost the 1st game 2-0, all the intricate tactics we thought of fell apart. Regrouped for the 2nd game and managed to win it 4-2 by just keep pushing forward and ignoring any tactics. Against a stronger team too ( they had ruggers ). Lost the final game 2-1 ( i had 2 freaking nice tries disqualified, i DID touchdown the ball with my hands in contact but oh well, referee's decision is final and its not easy for them too ). Went out in the end. At 1st we only thought the 1st team in the group will qualify, but turned out it was the top 2, for 2 different categories so we lost out in the end haha. During the course of the competition, got hit on my nose towards the end of the 1st game, bled alot. 1st time in my life got nosebleed, and its not like the girls there are hot. Dont feel any pain though, everyone was probably more worried for me than i did for myself haha, thinking bad, maybe a stream of blood trailing down your nose does look scary.

Saturday, yesterday, 23rd august. Sweet 18. Thanks.

Ran army half marathon today. 21km. Energy gel really works. 1st 10km was a breeze, minimal fatigue. After hitting the marina barrage area, then all the muscle tightness, sore legs start to set in. The ground is damn uneven, and you have to constantly hope around mud puddles because it rained last night. Feeling primed up for the nike 10km next week, put it up here now, i WANT a sub 50 timing, and no one is going to stop me from getting it, i'll crawl if i have to. Got a free ticket to the post race concert, anyone wanna go?. After the army half, queued for 4 hours, 4 FREAKING HOURS!! to collect my race pack. Lucky some guys from class already started queueing early, so i and the rest of the army half runners did not start totally from the back. took turns to eat lunch. The rain started and stopped x3 and poured while we were queueing. Had thai food for lunch, as that was the most edible and reasonable priced food we could find at liang court. Nike seriously have to get their act together, if not i've got a bad feeling about next week's run. The race pack isnt bad though, nike water bottle ( 1 litre! not those small ones ), nike shirt. Ok for the 27 bucks we paid, but NOT worth the queueing time. Legs actually ached ( not boasting or being funny or whatever, stating a fact ) more from queueing than the half marathon, after i sufficiently recovered lah. So sick of 100 plus now.

Gone, no quotes today, come back some other time haha. Tired
