Weekends

Attended AJ idol on friday, at AJ. Its nice to see some familiar faces, like martin, ceph, kendrick, alford, carol. The performers werent that fantastic. Carol's group was decent, and they bagged the best band award, but the instrumentals kind of overpowered the vocals. Their solo category winner isnt that bad either. Missed her cos i went in late ( from training at NYJC ), but she gave a repeat performance after she was declared the winner. Mark Tan as host was his usual impressive self, haha havent lost any of his CHMA hosting sign. Congrats to ceph ( if hes reading this ) for organising it, and being the AIC lol, koped tons of ideas from CHMA. After that, had dinner with yang and carol until 11+ before we headed our seperate ways.

Saturaday began with me dragging myself out of bed early in the morning to go support/ help the class with their Napfa. Passed mine 2 to 3 weeks ago. Was abit hesitant about going at 1st, afterall, sleep IS good haha, but glad that i went down and contributed in the end. So it was well worth the missed sleep. The class did well, everyone passed their napfa except for 3 people, including jh with his injury. Weiliang and yanchao, you 2 better pass ur SBJ u hear me, u dont wanna waste 3 months of ur life next year. Just train hard, you can do it. and SEOW WEILIANG, next time i ask you to run, u better run, wha lao, i pace you liao still fail, by 3 secs. just push abit harder next time can already. Played soccer with eugene peter's class and some other J1s after napfa, hes my successor btw, the new dragon captain. Not bad they all, only 5 guys, yet all are into/ can play soccer haha. The heat is terrible though. Went home, felt the onset of flu. Nose turned into a waterfall, and felt pretty tired, just wanted to sleep, but forced myself not to. Saturday afternoons aint meant for sleeping. Stoned abit then met yang in the evening for dinner and to go to CJ's concert at their own performing arts centre. Its nothing like Victoria Concert Hall, or Esplanade, but its nice to have a building dedicated to performances in your school ( its way better than LT4, its seats has cushion and its carpeted ). The concert is not bad, liked the 1st movement of Yellowstone symphony by James Barnes, as well as an arrangement of Jupiter by Gustav Holst for a saxophone quartet. Pity they didnt play the full orchestral or band version, its one of my favorites. Their saxophone section is hardcore, jiff said its part of CJ culture lol. Enjoyed the performance, havent been to a band performance in a long long while. Met weihan, john and some of the kayakers there too, apparently to support their friends. Miss playing the clarinet, and being part of a group who makes music. Being able to feel and express through music. Its even more saddening to know that you could have easily been among those people performing at CJ, or even at NY's concert next week, or i could have followed the twins to AJ, they're like principle players there now. I am sure i am of the same standard, if not better. I gave it all up for soccer. Has it been worth it?. I dont see myself being part of any amateur bands in future, so i guess my music journey is over.

Today, met up with gab, jc and jh to go queensway all wanted to buy shoes, or shorts. In the end only gab went home with a pair of adidas sneakers he fell in love with at 1st sight. $70+ not a bad catch, considering it was just out. I so wanna get the puma sneakers haha. Although gab, jc and jh thinks that it sucks, i think it has class man. Still a lil sick now.

Yanchao got his blog up, haha congrats

The weather, argh there was lightning like 30 mins ago, so happy it was going to rain. Rain makes for nice sleeping conditions, but the sky is still holding up now.

hope real madrid wraps up the title by this morning, if they win. Cheers man, 2nd title in a row. Kianny is right. He told me last time that whenever man utd won in recent times, real madrid will also win ( he supports man utd ), ran into him on friday night lol. Yea pal, u're right haha. Guys if you dont believe me, go check ur history books.

I care, even if i dont appear so.

Happiness comes more from loving then being loved; and often when our affection seems wounded it is only our vanity bleeding. To love, and to be hurt often, and to love again - this is the brave and happy life. - J. E. Buckrose
